Last day

El dimecres va ser l´últim dia que vam passar a Esmirna. Abans d'anar a l'aeroport per tornar a Barcelona ens va donar temps a visitar el centre d'Esmirna. Podeu veure algunes fotos de la Torre del Rellotge, el símbol de la ciutat. Més tard ens vam acomiadar dels amics que hem fet aquests dies. Després de dies d'intensa convivència el comiat va ser un moment molt emotiu. De ben segur que no oblidarem aquests dies que hem passat a Esmirna!
Tot i així el nostre projecte Comenius sobre Canvi Climàtic no s'ha acabat encara. A partir del curs vinent continuarem treballant en noves activitats i encara queden dos trobades: a Alemanya, a l'octubre del 2014 i per últim a Barcelona, a l'abril del 2015.Ja  estem esperant poder retrobar-nos!

Visita al Jardí botànic de la Universitat de l'Egeu

Avui ha estat l'últim dia complet a Esmirna. Pel matí els alumnes han gaudit de la piscina de la Rota Koleji i després hem anat a visitar el Jardí botànic de la Universitat de l'Egeu, visita de la qual podeu veure algunes fotos: 

Demà serà l'últim dia a Esmirna i l'aprofitarem per visitar el Bazar i el centre de la ciutat. L'hora del comiat s'apropa i encara que ens entristeixi separar-nos dels amics que hem fet aquests dies mai no perdrem el record d'aquesta inoblidable experiència. 

Monday's report of Patricia and Núria

Today we’ve been working all day at school. All the students have split into three groups to work on the topic of our Comenius Project: we have started to prepare a calendar, an art design exhibition and a survey on water and energy usage.

For lunch we have enjoyed a chicken and noodle soup, beans and a desert.

At 4:00 pm we have been called to the school auditorium for a final meeting to present the ideas and results from the groups, to receive the certificates of attendance to this Izmir meeting and to choose the official project logo in a vote. The winning design has been from our teammate Guillem Piqueras!

In the evening each student has returned to his host family.

Jordi and Guillem report about Sunday tour

This Sunday we’ve had a really great time. We’ve visited the House of the Virgin Mary, near Ephesus. It is the place where Virgin Mary spent her last days together with Saint John, right after the death of Jesus.

After that we visited the ruins of ancient Ephesus. It was full of tourists from all over the world!

We liked the place a lot, especially the toilets they had at that time! We took many pictures from the different parts of the old city.

For lunch we went to a very typical ottoman restaurant. It was quite difficult to sit properly (on the floor). The food was different from what we are used to.

After lunch we went to a small village named Şirince famous for the wine the make and for having many shops, coffee places and many souvenirs. It was a beautiful and scenic town.

It was a very interesting day although it rained a little.

Leisure day

Avui ha estat un dia per fer turisme. En primer lloc hem visitat la Casa de la Verge Maria, on segons la tradició va viure la Verge  després de la crucifixió de Jesucrist. A continuació hem visitat Efes, un important conjunt arqueològic de l'època grecoromana. Hem dinat a un restaurant  típic otomà i per últim hem pogut visitar el pintoresc poble de Sirince.

Demà ens quedarem a la Rota Koleji, on alumnes i professors dissenyarem les activitats pel curs vinent.
